Dancing queen

Last Saturday my mom and me went to a dancing tournament on which a childhood friend of mine took part at. She started ballroom dancing about 13years ago and takes part on tournaments for about 6 years now. One year ago she was asked if she wanted to dance in a ballroom dance formation. It means 8 dance couples move completely synchronously and in a creative choreography combine different dances (waltz, fox trott, tango…) and different figures.

Two days ago Nadine published her post about the new talent award of Peek& Cloppenburg supporting young design talents. This can be perfectly connected to my Philipp Plein project as in July 2007 he won a new faces award himself, carried out by the german lifestyle magazine “BUNTE”.

By then furniture, fashion and jewelery collections were launched successfully and in 2008 already Plein worked with top models like Naomi Campbell and Markus Schenkenberg. The history of his company goes on just like that:

Have you seen the preview for the new show “Fashion& Fame” on Pro7? It is about some young designers living together for a couple of weeks, facing all human ups and downs and in the end the best one wins a co-operation with the star designer Philipp Plein. So to speak: he is for Fashion& Fame what Heidi Klum is for Germany´s Next Topmodel.

But who is that guy? And why haven´t we ever heard of him?

The mystery of band merchandise

Last weekend I went to the concert of a colleague´s band, the DUKES. Generally I do not listen to Rock music that much and I am not into the Rock music community so that I tried to concentrate on the fashion people wear. At first there was nothing special to find. Casual or slim jeans, simple shirts, sneakers – mainly dark colours (black, grey, dark blue or dark green).
